I hope you will read this book and participate in a Christian Life Group as we invite the whole congregation to discuss it.  It is well written and challenges us to grow in faith.  Growing in faith is something we all want to do.

Reading and discussing this book will lead to faith growth.  It will also help people become better acquainted with some other members of Christ the King.  Jesus said wherever two or more are gathered in his name, there he is in the midst of them.  What a great way to grown in faith – gathering with others in Jesus’ name and encountering Christ. 

Many times people “give something up for Lent” as a reminder of the sacrifice Christ made for us.  I would encourage you to take something on instead.  Take on reading and discussion how we “get out of the boat.” 

We would really like to see every member of Christ the King commit to being involved in this all-congregation book study.  Peter stepped out of the boat and it is one of the things he is most famous for doing.  Let’s all join him on the water.
