Woven Together in Love: It’s Amazing!

We are well on our way to Christmas. The season of Advent is moving quickly, and there is a great deal to celebrate. We had wonderful worship services and the Smorgasbord on Sunday. Our youngest members had a Happy Birthday Jesus! party on Monday. Thank you to all who made these incredible ministries possible.

Now our eyes are set on Mary and Joseph as they travel to Bethlehem and as we prepare to light the candles of joy and love the next two Sundays. It is the perfect theme as our Sunday school children lead us in worship with their pageant, “Woven Together in Love: It’s Amazing.” Come, hear the Christmas story and witness the gift of our children leading worship. They have been working hard to prepare, and they need your help to share the Christmas story. Our morning will include drama, singing, laughing, and preparing for Christ’s birth. You will not want to miss it.

Please note we only have two services on Sunday. Two special worship times for a special day: 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. There will be coffee, cookies, and fellowship in between the services in the Celebration Hall.

In the meantime, know I am praying for you as you move through these busy days. Know we are “drawn together beyond history, each a thread in God’s mystery, of love that comes to set us free, woven into a tapestry, a tapestry of love” (lyrics from Nate Houge’sTapestry).

May God bless you as you prepare for Emmanuel, God with us, to be born, and as we wait to hear again, “For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

With Joy,

Pastor Hannah
