CtK Retreat: Seeing Through a Different Lens

Saturday, Sept. 23, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Maple Grove

Sarah Grow and Anna Grimm, leaders of this CtK retreat, gave it a subtitle for even more focus: “Using heart and soul to focus on God’s calling in your life.”  The theme verse for the retreat comes from Ephesians 1:18: “May the eyes of your heart be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call.” They explain that participants will use photography along with meditation and gentle yoga to explore the creative potential of mind-body-spirit integration to more fully realize how God calls us and connects us to each other.

The morning places a focus on the individual, introduces the approach and how metaphor is used. The afternoon expands the focus by connecting individual photos (metaphors) to the group and, by extension, the community.

So, gather your friends and plan to join us for the day. Participants should plan to bring:

·       camera (phone or USB cord for transferring photos to computer)

·       yoga mat

·       water bottle

·       an ingredient for a salad that we’ll make as a group for lunch
