Be a part of the Christ the King Community Garden. Sign up for your own 10 foot by 10 foot garden plot for a $20 fee to grow your favorite vegetables/flowers; water and tools are provided. Several plots in the garden will be dedicated to growing produce for the local food shelf and the rest will be rented to local gardeners.
Visit the Community Garden Sharing Table Each Sunday in the narthex throughout the summer, CtK community gardeners will share their extra produce. Anyone is welcome to take the extra produce home. If you have a garden, donate your extra flowers, vegetables, and plants by putting it on the Sharing Table when arriving at church, and/or take something that someone else has donated.
It is no wonder when Michael King traveled to Germany and learned about Luther’s (95 theses) reformation, he felt not only a strong connection but reaffirming hope in a better tomorrow. In Martin Luther, Michael saw a Godly man whose love for God would not be compromised for social status. Inspired and honored by Martin Luther’s boldness, combativeness, and foremost faithfulness in God, Michael King change his name as well as his son’s name to Martin Luther King and Martin Luther King Jr.
Yogadevotion is a practice of breathing, movement and meditation led by a trained yoga instructor. Yogadevotion classes are scheduled for Thursdays at 6:30pm -7:30pm from September 14 through November 16 at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
