Christ the King proudly offers CHecKS (Christ the King Scholarship) program which provides up to $1000 in scholarships for each student who is a member of CtK and attends an ELCA college. In addition to the scholarship, some colleges will match the scholarship award worth up to $2000 in aid.
The deadline for 2012-2013 applications is Feb. 15, 2012.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a member of Christ the King and be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an ELCA college or university. You are eligible for four years of scholarships. If you are considering enrolling in an ELCA college please submit an application. Applications are in the church office. Late applications will not be accepted.
Please consider making a donation to our ELCA Scholarship Fund. This is a wonderful way to help our young people attend an ELCA College. Over the past ten years we have had 73 students attend, and we have raised nearly $1,000 each year for our students and their respective schools matched up to $1,000 of what we contributed.
As of Dec. 1, 2011 we have received $5,373 of our goal of $6,000 for our ELCA college scholarship fund and gave out $1000 to each of our six students for the 2011-2012 academic year. Please consider donating to this worthy fund. For more information please contact the church office.
