Joe Davis returns to CtK

We first met Joe Davis last summer at the annual CtK Block Party where he performed his riveting poem, "Love Always" (see below for text). If you missed Davis at the Block Party, never fear! Davis returns to CtK for Local Mission Partner Sunday on Jan. 18. Davis, poet in residence at Redeemer Lutheran Church in north Minneapolis, will share an original Epiphany poem highlighting Jesus being shown to the nations of the world. Read More

Let there be light!

This week we begin our celebration of Epiphany—the season of light. Some of us come to this week Christmas-ed out, New Year’s resolutions perhaps already broken, headed into the coldest days of the winter. But we also come into this season ready to journey with the magi, the three kings, as they followed the star, to see as they saw, the revelation of God through Jesus. The light of Christ greeted them, and it greets us too. We are reminded of God’s words from Genesis, “Let there be light,” and we know its truth today as much as when the words were first spoken.
